Health coaching and nursing expertise initial session 40-60 minutes; subsequent sessions 20-30 minutes. 6 weekly sessions. The health coach assists clients with exploring a vision, focus area and change process. The health coach provides weekly accountability for goals set by individuals.
1:1 Coaching
40 min Health Coach Session
Personal session with health coach that uses tools to determine individuals vision and supporting goals. The coach assesses client readiness to change and allows clients to decide if moving forward with coaching is feasible. Upon determination of vision by client, the coach will serve as a guide to assist in developing S.M.A.R.T goals. These are goals that are Specific, Measureable, Realistic and Timed. 30 minute weekly follow- up with evaluation of goals, barriers with pros and cons. Health coach and client relationship will terminate upon resolution of goals or per client determination.
Guided Meditation & Relaxation
60 min Collaborative Meditation Session
Dealing with a stress filled day? Try this method to help you manage your stress. Health coach leads the client through rhythmic tensing and relaxing of muscle groups through-out the body. Affirmation statements developed by the client will be incorporated with deep breathing. Meditative music is incorporated during the session. Aromatherapy can be incorporated upon request to seal the session.
Fitness Session
30 min Easy-Intense Workouts
Your body will be as good to you as you are to it! Enjoy 30 minute workout sessions at your own fitness level.
Beginner- breath easily during workout. Great for people just starting to exercise. Usually incorporates fat burn level. Fat burn level means your heart is beating 50-69% of maximum heart rate. See tips on determining maximum heart rate
Moderate- can talk but more winded; aerobic
Intense- can’t hold a conversation easily;
Aerobic exercise- works to bring heart rate up and increases use of oxygen during workout
Strength- Build muscles over a 30 minute self- guided pace. Use soup cans or purchase your own weights. Begin with smallest resistance in dumbbells 2lb, 4b, etr. May use bands or kettlebell. What is important is that you are doing it! Remember to breath! Your muscles need oxygen to work properly.
